Surround yourself with the beautiful scenery, whilst dining in our Social Bubble restaurant in the secluded grounds of Furnace House, overlooking the topiary garden and the tranquil lake, spanning up to 7 acres with rare water lilies and many species of fish, against the backdrop of the 50-acre forest, you may see some of the wild deer, and hear the toll of the bell from the monastery in the distance.
The oldest property in Furnace Wood is Furnace House which dates to the revival of the iron industry in the mid-1700s. An early record of the house is shown on a map dated 1795.

Cooking is a life skill that has been in decline for many years, but with the rise in popularity of the celebrity chef, we have seen a surge of interest in people wanting to experience new and exciting foods from around the world.
You may have already tried the delights of the Stoves Dining Experience, so why not learn some of the tricks of the trade or just some of the basic life skills.
At the Cookery Academy we aim to help establish the chefs of the future and expand the knowledge of all budding foodies.

From the very moment you walk into Furnace House, you know how opulent and luxurious your stay is going to be as the interior is exceptionally decorated with some amazing furniture, fixtures, and fittings. Downstairs you will find the main living room with a huge inglenook fireplace, an extremely well-equipped modern kitchen, and a dining room which also has an Inglenook fireplace.
Upstairs you will find a plethora of versatile bedrooms with the master having a super kingsize bed with an en-suite with shower cubicle and bath, which is well fitted with a contemporary feel that matches the whole house. The second bedroom has a kingsize with an en-suite shower room as does the third.
Staying the night! arrive from 4pm onwards receive a complimentary glass of champagne and be shown to your room, relax and unwind on the terrace, or maybe go for a walk around the 5-acre lake and build an appetite up for the evening’s event.
Which is served at 7.30pm in the social bubble restaurant, by our experienced team.
Retire to your room and have a peaceful night’s sleep, breakfast will be served from 8.00 am onwards for those early morning raisers. Enjoy a full English and fresh coffee while looking across the lake or maybe just the stunning Sussex countryside, before leaving at 11 am.

Stoves Dining produced the most amazing menu and birthday experience. Steve catered for everyone’s palette, producing creative cuisine that both young and old could not get enough of. It was so much more than just amazing food, nothing was to much trouble, his passion and enthusiasm to ensure that everyone had an amazing experience was second to none. When my 12 year old son/food critic asks when Steve is cooking for us again you know you are on a winner! I would not hesitate in highly recommending Steve to make that special occasion an exceptional experience.

Stephen and his team recently catered for my birthday party and created a fantastic sweet/savoury grazing table. From the start nothing was too much trouble, the quality of the food was top notch and they catered for all food allergies and dietary requirements. On the day they ensured things ran smoothly and took the stress off my shoulders which made a massive difference. I really cannot recommend them enough. Thanks again.

Steve from Stoves Dining made a Non wedding day very special for my daughter and her fiancé! They wanted a Greek bbq and we got so much more - home made flatbreads - gorgeously cooked meats and amazing salads - followed by wonderful deserts. Steve is a great chef and extremely professional and a really likeable guy. I would highly recommend him and his team.

Stoves Dining provided us with the most fantastic food and experience for my daughter's 30th Birthday celebration. We had the social bubble dining, which was fun. The level of care and attention to detail from Stephen from start to finish was amazing. The food was absolutely delicious and our every request and need was catered for. I cannot recommend Stoves dining enough. We have had a few parties hosted by Stephen and not only does the food taste absolutely amazing, he is friendly, professional and wants you to have the best time. Nothing is too much to ask.
We have also had several stoves dining delivered which are also incredible.
We had an amazing meal cooked for us and our friends in our home last night. Everything from the initial discussion, to the setting up of the gazebo was taken care of. The only thing we had to worry about was drinks and glasses. The food was unreal and everything was left spotless at the end of the night. It was such a nice treat after months of not being able to get together for meals out.
I used Stoves Dining to prepare and deliver the 3 course meal for my wedding anniversary dinner yesterday. It was a 1st class experience and a very tasty evening. And a very pleasant chance to eat food professionally prepared by someone else. I would thoroughly recommend them.
Stoves Dining delivered our dinner this evening! Brings a whole new meaning to takeaway food being delivered to your door , easy instructions for re-heating , within 10 minutes we had top restaurant quality delicious food on our table , Stephen has catered two amazing dinner parties for us in the past and cannot recommend him highly enough !
